Several of us took advantage of a run of great weather to travel over Napoleon Pass between the old mining towns of Tincup and Pitkin on Super Bowl Sunday. This is the real deal. Napoleon Pass (12,020') is flanked by Fitzpatrick Peak (13,124') and Napoleon Mountain (12,563'). Some of the wonderful things about Taylor Park in winter include these great bluebird days, unparalleled scenery, and the distinct lack crowds. Best of all, our tracks are transient, much like our time here.
